š¾ Next match is no Djok for Kokkinakis
Just a gentle reminder to turn off Wimbledon updates before you go to bed if you want to get any sleep for the next 2 weeks.
Golden points: Aussie Thanasi Kokkinakis is through to the 2nd round after a straight-sets win, but he might have a sleepless night ahead of him.
Thatās because the draw just got a whole lot harder. Heās gonna play #1 seed Novak Djokovic who just won his 80th match at Wimbledon.
It wasnāt the best day for the Aussies with Max Purcell going down in 5 sets, John Millman lost in 4 and Maddison Inglis in 3.
It looks like COVID could cause some chaos. Marin Cilic made the semis at the French Open but heās had to withdraw because of the virus.
Whatās next: Itās another big day on the green grass in London. You wonāt want to miss Alex de Minaur and Nick Kyrgios who are both in action. You can watch those matches on Channel 9 or Stan Sport from 8.00pm (AEST).
Watch it: The locals are already dreaming about Emma Raducanu going all the way after she whipped out this shot in the first round.
š Big three in doubt for Origin decider
Being a State of Origin coach is one tough gig. But spare a thought for the 16 NRL coaches who sweat through the 80 minutes hoping their best players donāt get hurt.
Golden points: Most players were sweet after a brutal Game 2 in Perth. But 3 clubs arenāt so lucky with key men set to be ruled out this weekend.
The Knights are battling this year and it just got worse because their best player wonāt face the Titans this weekend. Kalyn Ponga failed a concussion test on Sunday and is in serious doubt for the decider.
Cameron Munster is also racing the clock to be fit for Game 3. His left shoulder was heavily iced after the game and he wonāt play for the Storm on Thursday.
The Blues do have a concern of their own. Big man Payne Haas was in a moon boot and there are fears heās suffered a high ankle sprain. Thatās not what the Broncos wanted to hear.
Whatās next: Make sure you take a tactical break from work at 4.00pm (AEST) to see all the ins and outs when the NRL team lists drop.
š Luck of the Irish goes against NZ
Get ready for a massive weekend of international rugby union. Weāre playing England on Saturday and things are looking good. But the same canāt be said about New Zealand.
Golden points: COVID. Yep, itās still here and itās hit the All Blacks hard ahead of their first Test against Ireland.
Coach Ian Foster is isolating. So are 2 of his assistants. And you can throw in midfield stars David Havili and Jack Goodhue.
Thatās far from ideal. But the Kiwis arenāt worried because theyāve had a couple of years to prepare for something like this.
Zoom meetings will be very popular this week for the sick coaches, while former Ireland boss Joe Schmidt will take over and might even dish out some inside goss.
Whatās next: This wouldāve been a tough series even if they were fully fit because Ireland is only just behind NZ in the rankings. Weāll see how they handle the setback when the game kicks off at 5.05pm (AEST) at Eden Park in Auckland on Saturday.
š Team selections have us in a spin
They say revenge is a dish best served cold. Well, itās gonna have to be pretty hot this time around if the Aussies want to beat Sri Lanka.
Golden points: Itās hot, humid and fairly wet in Sri Lanka at the moment. And that could affect team selection for the first Test tomorrow.
This is a big series for Australia because theyāre coming off a 3-2 loss in the 50-over series and they lost the Tests 3-0 when they last played over there in 2016.
Weāre still waiting for the team news, but it looks like Travis Head has recovered from a hamstring injury.
We know Nathan Lyon will be one spinner, and the other spinner looks like it's out of Mitch Swepson and veteran Jon Holland, who has a finger injury.
Key click: Here are the big talking points heading into tomorrow's game.
Watch it: The first Test starts in Galle tomorrow at 2.30pm (AEST) on Foxtel and Kayo.
š Which brings us to today's trivia question...
Which Aussie bowler took 24 wickets in the 2016 Test series in Sri Lanka?
Answer at the bottom of the newsletter.
š Mishap won't dent Colorado's celebrations
Itās a good time to be an ice hockey fan in Colorado.
Golden points: Avalanche players wonāt be paying for drinks ever again after they beat the Tampa Bay Lightning to win their first Stanley Cup title in 21 years.
Ice hockey celebrations are rowdy at the best of times. So is anyone really surprised that the trophy got damaged just minutes after the game ended?
Coloradoās Nicolas Aube-Kubel is copping a bit of heat for denting the Stanley Cup trophy. But you try carrying a 16kg oversized trophy after a tiring match while skating on worn ice.
Itās fine, no one is too upset. The Cup has seen a lot worse over the years. But, uh, if you do know a good buffer, maybe get in touch with the Avalanche.
Watch it: Before the mishap, hereās how they won the trophy.
š Quick singles
š Life under new coach Brendon McCullum is off to a flying start for Englandās Test cricket team. They belted New Zealand 3-0 in their series, with Jonny Bairstow again piling on the runs in the chase.
š Thereās a chance we could see a reunion between LeBron James and Kyrie Irving. LeBronās Lakers are reportedly the only team willing to work out a deal for the Nets star.
š¶ Jess Fox was vomiting before the race but she isnāt getting sick of winning. The Aussie star won her 3rd canoeing World Cup event in a row, taking out the K1 title in Slovenia.
ā³ Weāre still trying to work out how Xander Schauffele won the Travelers Championship. He hit a birdie on the last hole and Sahith Theegala double-bogeyed to force the engraver to make a late change.
ā½ Youāre going to hear more from the Brisbane Roar next season. The A-League Menās side have signed former English Premier League striker Charlie Austin.
š Majak Daw has retired effective immediately from the AFL. He was the first Sudanese-Australian person drafted to the AFL and played for 12 years with the Kangaroos and Demons.
š Left of field...
If you ever want your dinner delivered on time, make sure you call Simranjeet. The only problem is, it might take a while because he lives really far away.
Golden points: This all started with a wild pitch in the baseball. Seattleās Jesse Winker got hit by the ball, he didnāt like it, and 8 people ended up getting ejected after an all-in brawl.
A Seattle fan named Sofie appreciated Winker for standing up to the mean pitcher. So she ordered him a pepperoni pizza and had it delivered to the stadium.
Traffic on a Sunday is awful, but our man Simranjeet didnāt care. He fought through the gridlock and managed to deliver the pizza to Winker in the sheds.
This whole thing played out on social media and Sofie made sure to share Simranjeetās details so others could tip.
It must've been a big tip because Simranjeet says it's "life-changing".

š½ The highlight reel
You don't need a jury to know how good Aaron Judge is. The Yankees slugger whacked this monster home run to win another game for the New Yorkers.
šø Photo finish
Jess Fox says it's time for a snip after her hair hit a penalty gate during competition on the weekend. Fortunately she's so good it didn't cost her.

š Today's trivia answer
You'd think it was a spinner, but it was actually Mitchell Starc.
